Day 1 - Grace Upon Grace
14 Days of Prayer and Fasting
Grace Upon Grace
Monday – Day 1
Theme for 2026: Multiplication
Thought for Today:
As we begin a new year, we are trusting that God’s purpose will be fulfilled both in our personal lives and in the corporate Body of Jesus. We are His Body, His people, and we belong to Him, but we also belong to one another. With this in mind, we want to pursue prayer not just from a personal perspective but as members of the body of Christ. Keep this in mind as we commit ourselves to prayer, especially over the next two weeks.
Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you each day as you seek God’s face. This is a guideline to assist you in prayer, but remain sensitive to things or people the Holy Spirit might prompt you to pray for. Use this guide daily and come into agreement with your fellow brothers and sisters as we pray in unity for God’s will in all our lives and in our church!
I don’t know about you, but I need God’s grace — I am dependent on His grace! I need grace every day, not just on bad days. I need grace in my weakness, my strengths, my service, my gifting, and my relationships to reach others and build community with my fellow believers. I need grace upon grace! The good news is that God’s grace is freely available to save us and equip us for everything life brings or requires.
So, let’s trust the Lord to pour out His abundant grace as we seek His guidance and purpose for these times. Grace is released when we humble ourselves and pray. Prayer is a sign of humility because, through prayer, we acknowledge our need for God and our dependence on Him and His wisdom, rather than on ourselves.
We are believing for a year of multiplication in 2026. Grace upon grace! So let us pray…
Verses to Pray and Meditate on:
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:14 (NASB)
For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
John 1:16 (NASB)
A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, what joy for those who trust in you.
Psalm 84:10-12 (NLT)
