The Supreme Life

Aug 27, 2025    Pastor Joshua Moreno

In Colossians 1:15–29, Paul lifts our eyes to the supremacy of Christ. Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, and the one in whom all things hold together. He is the head of the church, the fullness of God in human form, and the one who brings reconciliation through his death on the cross. Paul reminds the Colossians that the gospel is not about a partial or distorted view of Jesus, but about Christ in all his fullness, the hope of glory. Even in suffering, Paul finds joy and purpose because his mission is to proclaim Christ and help others grow to maturity in him. This passage calls us to see Jesus clearly, stay rooted in him, and live out our calling as servants who share his good news wherever we go.
